The things that happen in flashes of moments, leading to roads unthought of, is how people can end up in the most unexpected of places — for Phainon turns on his heel abruptly, failing to catch himself in time as he trips over his own boot. Time slows for him as he waits, waits, and waits for his back to hit the ice. There is a poet, whose work he read in the tucked-away corner of the library where cosy chairs and warm mugs of tea steamed between him and his classmates, who once wrote; “the world will end not with a bang, but with a whimper” — and perhaps, this is how Phainon’s world ends.
A young man from Aedes Elysiae. A man who grew wings to touch greatness only to fall back down again. An angel found in the cold, lifeless fluorescence of a skating rink. Phainon; he almost had it all.

He seemed larger than an average man, eyes pale gold and missing any humanity that may or may not have ever been there. The various people around them who’d previously been frozen to the spot began to scream and yell to call the authorities, but Mydei felt as though he couldn’t look away from the strange being’s eyes. Be it hypnosis or simply beauty, he was entranced by how still the being was, unmoving and unblinking. The scent of wheat and sandalwood flooded his senses, washing over him like a calm tide.
“Are you,” Mydei started, voice barely higher than a whisper as he stood nose to nose with him, “human?”

This a story between two travelers, one was a boy who after witnessing the awful truth about his origin, he was blessed by the god he despise and after he became a being beyond human comprehension, doesn't want to let go of his love for the star. The other was a girl who after seeing the traumatic origin of a story, she wanted to forget but doesn't want to forget him. Both of them are in a limbo in terms of their feelings of love for each other, not knowing that the guy in question started to develop aa twisted desire that surpasses all understanding.
This happens after all the shenanigans in Amphoreus, basically Lord Ravager Phainon is jealous of how Stelle is close to other people, especially the guys, so he decided to pay her a visit and observe her so he can have her for himself (this is a stalking behavior, don't do this irl)
(Aventurine, Jing Yuan, Gepard, Sunday, Screwllum and Dan Heng appear here as something like a punchbag for our ex Deliverer, sorry not sorry for their first meeting but they'll make up later :3)

Most Heirs had migrated to the Holy City by now, driven like cattle with the rest of Amphoreus by the Black Tide, their homes ravaged and their pride crushed underfoot in the chaos. That, Phainon could sympathize with. The Grove was in a better position than most and, with the certainty of a man gazing at it with his own eyes, operating just fine. But even the Grove wasn’t untouchable, and neither was the Holy City.
As such, the two Heirs who still dared to brave life outside of Okhema were called to talk strategy. Cipher of Dolos and… Mydeimos of the Grove. A rather mysterious figure, and that was coming from Trickery’s personal assistant.
In a filthy corner of Amphoreus, a child with golden blood huddled, hidden from the eyes of the gods in a moment of sympathy. As the Flame Chase spiraled out of control and political pyres roared, Lady Goldweaver extended her hand to Cipher and the Great Sage... Mydeimos for assistance. But everyone has corpses to bury, and all it takes is a curious, novice thief to bring them back to life.
