If Murderbot ever proves the Force is sentient, it will plot to murder the shit out of the Force.
So maybe I should’ve noticed I had bullshit magic powers sooner, but in my defense I didn’t think magic was real. Most sane people would insist magic isn’t real.
Wait, whoops, the ghosts would claim it’s not magic. It’s “the Force” (in case you’re wondering, yes, you can hear the capitalization), and I’m a “Force-sensitive” which means I’m able to manipulate the mysterious, supernatural (but definitely not magical) force that a bunch of old dead monks decided to name the Force. (Not that I’m making fun of their naming sense. It’s apt even if it must’ve gotten confusing sometimes.)

A probably OOC what-if for if Ivan didn’t go through with taking his life at the end of scene 16. Happier than canon, but not intended to be without strife for these characters. Written because I prefer endings where there’s hope for the character to improve, even if in canon they probably aren’t willing to face such change.

Sixteen-year-old Kellyn, still a new Top Pokémon Ranger, has been stationed in the Sinnoh Region for a while, clearing mission after mission. However, when he's unexpectedly called back to Almia with concerns about the Rainbow Bird Pokémon, Parity and Blue-Bird, he never expects to run into Ash, Brock, and Dawn again, who ask to go with him.
Although reluctant, Kellyn agrees they can come, as long as they keep their distance and let him complete his mission himself, but that proves difficult with Ash's clumsiness, curiosity, and love for Pokémon--and when the mission turns out to be more dangerous than Kellyn thought.
When nefarious forces rise, the Pokémon team must work together before it's too late for not only them, but also all of Almia and Sinnoh.
Nonetheless, Kellyn is not too eager to ask for help.

Running from her problems worked for years. It kept her within that circle she wanted to return to. If it worked before, what was the problem with returning to her old ways of hiding and avoiding any issues she came across?
There wasn't any other option. She couldn't take the pain of their stares anymore. She had to get away from them. She just had to.

A hand grasps his own, as though afraid he might turn and run. “There are no reasons I could give that would make you understand.” Lücan sounds so tired, so helpless, pleading with Jin, as though Jin holds any power here “I could say it a thousand times over but I know deep down you'll never believe me Jin.”
“...I want to believe it, I do.”
He is desperate for it to be true, clinging with both hands to the idea that this isn't just another way to manipulate him, that this isn't some scheme. That for once what he wants to be true really might be.
“I know, I know so please just let me-” Lücan steps forward again and presses his forehead against Jin's as though through touch he might convey all his emotions, might think them hard enough for them to finally sink in “Please.”
“He's giving you permission Jin.” Caska's voice drifts over like a soothing tide as she watches them both “He wants to show you.” She circles them, hands drifting over Lücan's back and arms until she stands directly behind Jin, resting gentle hands on his, she guides them up to hold Lücan's face. “Go on.” She mutters in his ear. “Taste him.”
