Summary
Clint wakes up in a strange house, being taken care of by a strange man, who he quickly identifies as the infamous Winter Soldier. But the soldier doesn't seem to have any ill-intent as he looks after him, and Clint decides to make it his mission to break his walls down one by one and get to know him, even if the soldier doesn't want him to.
And maybe Clint needs someone to help break down the walls he's created around himself, too.
Or, just because the Winter Soldier brings Clint home and rescues him, doesn't mean he's the only one who gets saved.

Summary
Eddie marveled at the stone sculptures. He wondered did they feel as he felt, this solid immovable force? Did they desire to live beyond museum walls, full of crown molding and marbled floors? Or were they content, captured in a lover's embrace immortalized forever?
Buck walked toward him, broad shoulders bumping against his. Face turned upward to the sculpture of two lovers, he tilted his head down in Eddie's direction.
"You're just like 'em you know," he said.
Eddie felt fear seize in his chest, eyes flickering up at the statue once more.
With further prompting and the ghost of a smile on reddened lips - from the berry hibiscus tea - he continued by saying, "You're softness made of stone."
And with a soft exhalation that sounded like a prayer Buck added, "And just as beautiful."

Summary
After the events at Coral Prince, Kono takes more than just a passing interest in the inhabitants of the Northshore homeless encampment. But there’s one man, Kanuha, who doesn’t seem to appreciate the attention. Of course that just means she makes it her goal to win him over.
Bucky has spent fifteen good, HYDRA-free years getting back to living under the Hawaiian sun. He’s happy, he’s warm, and best of all he can do something good by helping the people in the camp where he lives. Being on the run comes at the cost of having friends but he doesn’t need those anyway. At least he doesn’t until some local cop makes gaining his trust her top priority.

The title of the story and the chapters comes from one of the most beautiful and emotional songs ever. Written by The Killers. Give it a try if you have never heard it before, but let me warn you, it’s gonna be… intense. And it’s perfect for this story.
