The child in Bruce’s arms glared at him, a fierce expression for such a little itty-bitty thing. Another point in the “this random child with black hair and blue eyes is not Dick” column. Dick, from the stories Jason remembered getting out of Bruce and Alfred, hadn’t been this small.
“Jason,” Bruce replied, tone a bit harsh. He’s stressed. Jason’s supposed that was a point in the “Dick was turned into a literal child” column.
Or: after a run in with magic, Dick is left as a child. No one is having a fun time, who knew Dick liked to hide from everyone constantly?

Damian shut his eyes, if only for a heartbeat. He forgot, sometimes, how purely childlike Richard’s voice was capable of sounding. Because he was a child. And while other children expressed curiosities on how the sky was blue or where babies came from, Richard questioned why he wasn’t doomed to repeat the same mistakes of his elders.
“Because we are complicated,” he said, “and we are illogical. There is no set ending determined by our actions.” He took a breath and risked it. “What happened to Harvey Dent will not happen to you.”
or, there are parallels between what happened to Harvey Dent and what happened to Dick Grayson. There are parallels everywhere, really. Damian notices them for the first time.

“I am dangerous too,” Dagger countered. He let his crossed arms fall to the side. Jason immediately studied the man’s palms for hidden weapons. “I was dangerous, but when I appeared on your front porch, you did not force me to sleep in the holding cells. You brought me to my room. You regarded me as a person, though it’d been much time since I’d last been treated as such.” Dagger’s eyes hardened. “Do the same with them.”
Jason remembered, clear as day, being held down by his wrists with an iron grip while he was told in no uncertain terms that he was nothing more than a cloth monkey dressed up to dote on Talon. In a heartbeat, he could be replaced with a doll, so he’d better perform better than the straw-stuffed stacks they had lined up elsewhere.
Or,
Escaping the Court doesn't undo the years of conditioning in a single day. Things are hard, and Jason just can't figure out how he's supposed to act without fumbling the chance he's been given. For his sake and Talon's, he'll need to figure it out.

Summary
Talon felt surprisingly alert as he watched the Owls file in. They were each escorted to their table by a sharp-eyed Talon, one hand resting on their knife and the other keeping a firm hold on their charge. It reminded Talon of how Grandfather used to walk with him, when he wasn’t sure if he’d need to cut out Talon’s heart in order to keep him in check.
He used to be so, so bad. He was very lucky that the Court taught him to be good. Talon tried to remember that, even as his head got fuzzier at the sight of his opponent.
It was an owlet.
He was small, almost as small as Talon. His clothes hung off of him like a scarecrow. Angry, narrowed eyes flitted across the room as he was dragged forward by a Talon on both sides. His mouth was pressed in a thin line, but still he tried to bite the hands hoisting him up. Talon nearly cooed. He had teeth!
or, The Talon that used to be Dick Grayson is tasked with killing a street rat when a deal for the Court goes south. It doesn't go smoothly, but Jason's pretty grateful for that.

Dick’s apartment was a mess, but it was always a mess. Diapers- hopefully clean, Tim thought absent-mindedly- littered the floor, along with several tiny pairs of socks and numerous soft toys. A bassinet sat in the corner of the room, a few blankets tossed around it haphazardly. There were two almost-empty bottles of milk on the coffee table, lying next to a plate of half-eaten pizza that looked more than a few days old. Really, Tim was surprised there weren’t flies. Stepping over the mess on the floor, Tim followed the sound of a very upset baby into the kitchen.
And really, seeing Dick standing there with a baby shouldn’t have been surprising considering the state of the living room, but the sight had Tim halting in his tracks....
Alfred sends Jason and Tim to check on Dick after a long period of silence from Nightwing. In which there is a Baby Grayson, Jason is Good with Kids, and Tim is Confused.
