Summary
What do you do when you wake up in the middle of a parking garage and with too many limbs? Well, if you're Shirogane Naoto, you accidentally set off an alarm, tentatively befriend a very talkative young girl, proceed to discover you're not the only unfortunate victim of an isekai plot, and get roped into an investigation of the yokai mafia. All while separated from the other teenagers familiar with the supernatural, if not this variety of it.
This is not how Naoto expected her day was going to go, but who would?
(A.K.A., I sent several characters to Yokai Watch 3 and turned them into yokai. Chaos proceeds to ensue.)

starsDAMN this is easily up there as one of the best fics I've ever read and my only regret is that I came across it before it was finished because I love this story so much. it's so good. HEAVY recommend. It dips into some darker territories, so be aware of that, but this author does it so WELL and I love their take on the lore and I just- HRNGNGNGN WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS MY ADORATION FOR THIS FIC ENOUGH.

Gregory paused, staring.
The weird cat-salamander thing that had come up behind him, all blue and pink with the biggest purple eyes Gregory had ever seen, stared back, unblinking. He SWORE he could see it vibrating in place, like the rush of a million sugar highs was rushing through its body all at once. It didn’t seem bothered by the rain, water rolling off its back, and the boy felt suddenly, unfairly jealous at it’s obvious lack of discomfort when here HE was, standing there, shivering and miserable and soaked to the bone.
“What the hell are YOU supposed to be?” He snapped.
It squeaked. Gregory stared into those huge eyes, pupils big enough to see his soul reflected back in them, and balled up the old sock and threw it at the thing before bolting off into the rain.
The sock hit him in the back of the head with a wet splat a second later, and the pitter-patter of little paws followed him back to his box.
OR: Gregory adopts/is adopted by a bunch of Slugcats. The animatronics (and Peepaw Afton) are not prepared.

Summary
Rusty thought that joining Thunderclan would be relatively straightforward. He was prepared to work hard and do what he could to become a strong, dependable warrior.
But then he awakened a Persona, gained access to a realm overrun with shadowy monsters, and had to fight said shadowy monsters alongside a cat who hated him and another cat who never seemed to have a straight answer. He also had to (somehow) balance that with a normal social life.
He really had no idea what he was in for.
