"In one moment, Tommy is being beaten against an obsidian wall."In the next, he's waking up in his childhood bedroom. There's magic on his tongue, he's in his childhood home, and his family is still dysfunctional but they are at least together. He can prevent their destruction if he can just get past his own grown fears of them. He can do this by himself, it's what is best for them all. He can keep them from breaking apart, keep Wilbur and Tubbo from all the pain they've experienced. Tommy can do this for them, even if he's a little bit cracked now. If they get suspicious, well, what was that play Wilbur mentioned once? Hamlet? Tommy can just do what that guy did.
(Tommy time travels into the past and begins to disguise his traumatic responses as the same kind of Chat Madness his older brother Techno is known for. But madness begets madness, and how far can Tommy go with a lie that begins to bleed at the edges?)

The man rolled his eyes, as if he didn’t just ask a completely impolite question. “I said, do you have any booze?”
Tommy sat still. He reached into his jacket pocket, his hand finding only a plastic pen. Could he stab this man with a plastic pen?
Tommy pulled said piece of plastic out, visibly holding it up. “I have a pen.” Something about the bemused look on the man's face made Tommy click it, and again, repeatedly.

Tommy steps through; a brighter, sharper light shining harshly on the unsettling sight of Owl, Blue and Boar, all on their knees.
Blue has a smear of blood on his face, kneeling on the cold hard ground with his hands in front of him. Owl is knelt to his left; physically restrained, as well as threatually: a gun held to the back of his head to keep him on his knees, and to keep from moving where he’s slightly more armed than Blue, what with his razor-sharp talons.
Boar is the most beat up and he looks downright livid; tusks levelled towards the one that stands before him. His head is being forcefully bowed by the twin guns pressed to his head; far more angry towards the fact that Owl and Blue are in danger than concerning himself with his own safety, because even from here Tommy can see the energy-rifle is charged with red LEDs that signify the safety is off and the guns are charged to full lethality.
Tommy doesn’t know how many volts Boar could withstand, but with five armed against him, he’s not confident he’ll win this fight.Or: Tommy was saved by the aliens. Now it’s his turn to save them.
