Rin's servant was beyond infuriating. He treated her like a foolish girl! He wouldn't even share his true name with her, demanding that she figure it out herself if she was worthy of being his Master. This wasn't how it was supposed to go.
None of it was. This entire Grail War was wrong from the start. The Grail War she had imagined was epic clashes between Heroic Spirits. That was not the Grail War that she got. She wasn't supposed to have to plot against her classmates, those she considered friends. She shouldn't be questioning if her teacher might actually be a servant. She wasn't supposed to wonder if goddamn Emiya of all people could be a Master. There never should have been this many witnesses. She shouldn't need to fight her sister... It just wasn't fair.
But the Grail didn't care about fair, nor did it care for tradition. All that it wanted was for there to be a victor.
And that a wish would be granted.
(Shirou is still the main POV although it will rotate a lot)

After showing a little too much audacity in the Head Observant's presence, Danny was 'encouraged' to become a researcher of ectobiology (and later ecto-everything under the sun) in order to create a document that opposed his parents' harmful research. After years of writing it, and years of maturing rapidly without any credit, he finally decides to let his parents know who he really is, hoping that he can finally ask for help with his project, and learn to be open about his true self.
He'd be lying if he said he wasn't also doing it because of Vlad; getting to declare that his parents now know his secret is greatly amusing. On that note, Vlad finally gets to make up with his old friend. He even heals his inner child. (If only Jazz were here to see it.)

It didn't matter that the only person to ever want to be around him left before he even got to university. He did it anyways, even though it meant doing it alone. One day, an email found its way to his inbox in the middle of a test and soon, he wouldn't be alone anymore.
Clark Kent had explored all options into learning more about Krypton's history that the sole legitimate researcher he could seem to find excited him more than he knew how to express. who would have thought history could be so interesting?

Thus, the physical, thus the doctor’s appointment, and thus the reason Maddie was sitting next to her son and squeezing his hand as the doctor went through a list of past injuries that she had not known about.

The end of Grade 11 is upon Danny, and for once nothing is going wrong. The local ghosts are friendly, Vlad is Vlad-ing at a safe distance, and the GIW isn't chasing him in circles. Things are good.
So of course his blundering parents have to upend it all by announcing to Amity Park that Phantom is half-human. Thanks to them, Danny has to navigate keeping his identity secret in the face of a whole city's worth of people searching for him, not only as a ghost, but as a human too. Worse still, he can't even be mad at his parents, 'cause they're being so damn nice about the whole thing.
A conundrum of epic proportions and Danny is tired of it already.
