Summary
TGTBaTA is the main storyline: beta kids/trolls 3 years after a meteor apocalypse, which brought the magical alternative-persons out of hiding and into human society after 100s of years apart. each character is adjusting to new reality, many have been uprooted from all that they know, some cut off from their families, others choosing to make a fresh start. at the heart of our story is the hole in Rose, John, and Dave's hearts: Jade Harley, missing and presumed dead.
This will be a longfic, so buckle in. Though romance is unavoidable with a cast of 16-20 year olds, it is not the focus. The fic is primarily 3rd person past tense, with every beta kid/troll getting a chance to reveal their biased understanding of the story as it unfolds- though a certain best friend uses 2nd person present tense. The fic is set in 2012, but expect some 2009-typical language and references. After all, it took society a little while to restart, so any media in our world that was released after 04/13/09 might have been delayed by the Suburban Catastrophe.
