Viole shoots her a blank stare. He wants to laugh, but he ends up coughing instead, hiding the periwinkle coloured flower petals that he chokes out in the sleeve of his loose robes. He can’t help it this time, the striking pain that threatens to split his lungs apart, because how could he stop his mind from wandering to the most beautiful light bearer in the world?
(Or - a canon divergence AU where Khun and Bam both have Hanahaki disease, and their reunion at the Hand of Arlene goes just a little differently.)
