The boy’s line of sight flickered around for a solution, terrified. A door - an exit, a blockade. His limbs moved on their own as he rushed forward, grabbed and threw his startled sister into the closet, and slammed the door shut as hard as possible.
“Sunny?!!! Sunny, what-!” He heard frantic pulling at the door handle, but it didn’t budge. Sunny hadn’t locked the door. Is... is it broken?
“Let me out! LET ME OUT!!!” Mari’s loud cries were muffled by the wooden obstacle separating her from the rest of the world. He did this.

Summary
Mari and Sunny had fought on the day of their rehearsal, Thing would've gone horribly if Basil didn't interfere and knocked in some sense to stop them․
Three weeks later. Aubrey, Basil, and Sunny were at their usual secret hideout waiting for Kel and Hero who was busy helping their parents and Mari who was still practicing her piano. With nothing to do, Basil invites Aubrey and Sunny to his backyard and teach them how to garden while his parents weren't home.
After awhile and Sunny going to get some water for the water cans, Aubrey becomes irritated at Basil for criticizing her every time. So, while he wasn't looking, Aubrey grabs a gardening sheer and things get out of hand.
