The adoption addiction is debunked but not for Bruce Wayne. For years people have accused Batman of intentionally raising child soldiers for his crusade. In reality said "child soldiers" are too stubborn for their own good gremlins that simply entered Batman's life due to 'reasons' and REFUSED to leave. This is clarified during a live broadcast interview for some members of the Justice League, Young Justice, and the Teen Titans.
Time line: after all the dead only to be alive again stuff happens. The boys have bonded enough that Jason, Tim, and Damian openly admit to being brothers. Damian has just started using their first names and refers to them as Jason, Tim, and Richard/Rick.... he refuses to call Grayson by his chosen nickname despite Dick's attempts to persuade otherwise lol

Everyone agreed, except Bruce, who had a league meeting during that time. Duke wanted to change the date, but Jason insisted that he would leave and never come back if the movie night wasn’t today, so they just decided to have a movie night without Bruce. The next day, Bruce learned that skipping movie night was a big mistake.
