Summary
The Constellation Spirit, Cassiopeia, has taken control over the rest of the Constellations, and she plans to do the same to the entire multiverse. It’s up to eight rogue Constellations to choose a human and bond to their life force, giving up their own life in the process, to save every world. These eight chosen humans will become the Rangers of the Constellations and it will be their mission to restore peace to the constellations and save the multiverse.

Jingyi sat frozen in shock, his heart pounding as the chaotic claims swirled around him.The bitter truth gnawed at him. He had brought shame upon his sect with his actions, and despair seeped into his very being. How he wished he could vanish, erase himself from existence.

One week later, during a nightly stroll around, David catches the three of them attempting to row to Spooky Island. Confused, he chases after them, unknowingly reviving secrets that he thinks he'd rather not have found in the first place.(Usually I have good summaries. This time I don't. So basically, set after "Dial M for Jasper" where David catches the trio on their way to Spooky Island, ends up finding Jasper, and you already know where this is heading, don't you?)
