She’s been awfully down in the dumps about no newcomers.” Alastor walked back to the alcohol tray and poured himself another whiskey.
He picked up Vox’s abandoned triple sec and handed it back. “What do you say? We’ll be working together just as you wanted.”
Vox knew in his head he should have said no. There would be too many problems in the long run. But Vox’s heart decided for him as he raised his glass.
“To finally working as a team,” He beamed and Alastor beamed back, clinking their glasses and they both downed their drinks.

“Ha, what?” Vox laughed incredulously, but his face fell when he realised Alastor was being deadly serious. There was a hint of tension in his permanent smile, that made the corner of his lip twitch.
“You really wanna swap war stories?” Vox felt nervous and avoidant. This was a conversation he had no desire to indulge, but he'd always had trouble telling Alastor 'no'.

Summary
It wasn't as if Alastor didn't want to talk about what had happened, the night after Vox had left and Lilith had revealed she held more of Alastor's strings than he'd ever thought possible.
For one thing – he couldn't. Was physically incapable of giving anything but the most bare-bones details, yes or no answers to whatever questions Vox might think to ask. It was rather difficult to have a conversation with somebody when saying the wrong thing might glue his mouth shut for the next several minutes.
For another, every time Vox started to ask about it, began to question exactly what Alastor had dreamt that had left him so panicked – Alastor had decided that there were far more enjoyable things he could be doing with his mouth.
Vox clearly found it difficult to focus on the topic at hand when something else was at hand instead.

“Are we celebrating something? I must say, the invitation was quite spontaneous! Not that I mind, of course. It’s always pleasant to spend a lovely evening in the company of a dear friend, isn’t it?”
Vox stiffened, and his first instinct was to blurt out, 'You don’t know what day it is?' Because seriously—he had been under the impression that Alastor accepting his dinner invite for Valentine’s Day already meant something.
Alastor sat down with his usual effortless grace. “Well, whatever the reason, I certainly appreciate the effort! It’s been ages since I’ve received such a delightfully personal invitation for dinner from you.”
Vox stared at him. Then, at the table. Then back at him.
This had to be a joke.
Alastor met his gaze, still smiling, still wholly unfazed.
It was not a joke.

Or — Vox had spent days preparing the perfect Valentine's Dinner Date for Alastor and him, planning to confess his feelings, but everything seems to go wrong, and Alastor is not catching any romantic hint he's throwing his way. When Valentino decides to get involved, playing the jealous ex and sabotaging their date, everything seems ruined.

Summary
Something terrible happened to Alastor in his human life and when he wakes up in Hell, he finds himself as prey for the vicious sinners around him. Desperate, he makes a deal he comes to regret.
Vox is fascinated by the deadly, untouchable Radio Demon and somehow manages to charm the man who initially wanted his head. They strike up a friendship that leads to some fluttery feelings on both ends, but before anything can develop, Alastor's deal (and a certain moth-demon) cause complications.
Misunderstandings and broken hearts ensue, and a blossoming romance sours into something messy and hateful.
And then Alastor disappears for 7 years. When he returns, his fight with Adam leaves him wounded and vulnerable, and Vox decides that it's time to put an end to the man who destroyed both his heart and his afterlife.
But his complicated feelings for Alastor won't let him end his life and it turns out that they miss each other more than either of them realised. Can they salvage the ashes of their relationship, or will Valentino and questionable deals destroy them both?

“In for a penny, in for a pound, dearest… you may not have the pretty collar, but you're still mine forever~” Al had once joked, making Vox foolishly believe he'd had a chance.
A chance at everything he'd wanted since landing in this literal hellhole.
The deal-maker had wrapped his heart strings firmly around each of his claws, plucking them to his own mysterious tune, but evidently hadn't actually wanted his heart. He was only interested in the obsessive willingness to bend over backwards for his whims at a moment's notice. But Alastor had shattered him along with their rapport, sundering the future that had once seemed to be falling into place so perfectly.
And now this asshole wanted to act like he still had any right to him?!

The hotel hosts a charity auction where demons can bid to take the residents out for a date. Vox arrives just in time to win Alastor's auction and so the two set out for a night on the town, much to Alastor's displeasure.
