“I wonder if we’re getting a musician next door?” Jenny says at his side. “Won’t that be fun?”
Jason doesn’t get a chance to answer. The screeching of tires and the heavy sound of guitars muffled by van windows cut him off. He frowns at the sight. The van is new but the volume of the music is so…inappropriate. Not all what the serene Maple Drive is used to at all.
The doors of the van open, two little girls with dark hair rush out of the side door while their mother climbs out the passenger side.
“Oh, holy Jesus!”
“Jason, sweetie, is everything okay?” Jenny asks, holding his arm in concern.
