"I've known for weeks," Tommy continued, a small smile forming on his lips, idly almost. "For someone who's been trained to be subtle about these kinds of things, you sure did make it obvious."
Wilbur flinched in the doorway, his mouth pulling into a thin line. "Too sweet in the tea." Tommy finished.
"You're still drinking it." Wilbur supplied nervously.
Tommy hummed, his head tilting slightly to rest his forehead on the glass."It's nice being taken care of." "

Phil always said he’d help Techno bury a body. Usually in passing with a teasing smile and a knock on the arm. Considering the fact that Phil was literally a cop, he never took it too seriously and just laughed alongside him as he promised the same.
So you couldn’t blame him when, after his first kill, he was more than a little surprised that the man actually meant it.
It had been really one of the worst situations you could be in after straight up murdering someone, borderline comical in how self incriminating it all looked. Phil, an officer of the law, had literally caught him red handed and standing over a gored body.
But instead of running like any sane person would or even shooting him like any cop would, he locked the door behind him and asked where Technos shovel was.
He can’t really remember what he said in return, a lot of that night was hazy.

“Severed employee? What the fuck does that mean?” Tommy cut him off. Wilbur opened his mouth to speak but paused, looking back down at the binder and flipping to a new page.
“Ah, so you’re asking about Severance! Wonderful. As a severed employee you have undergone the groundbreaking procedure to split your consciousness between work life and personal life. Seeing that you are conscious right now, that means this is your work life. The Capra Severed floor will be your home, and your coworkers will be your family from this day forward. Congratulations!”
Tommy felt sick.
“There must be a mistake here, there’s no way I would’ve agreed to that,” he argued.-
Or, Tommy wakes up to find himself on the Severed floor of Capra Industries. His consciousness has been split between his work and personal lives, and he desperately wants a way out of the suffocating corporate job. If only his self on the outside would let him.

“I can’t just make a deal without knowing! That’s not how that works!” Wilbur exclaimed frantically, his breathing getting more erratic with each moment that passed.
“Oh, you’ll find that it can work that way.” The fae smiled brightly.
Wilbur stumbled backward. This couldn’t be happening. This shouldn’t be a possibility.
He couldn’t be stuck as a slave for the rest of his life. He couldn’t be stuck in an unfamiliar realm, with unnatural beings, for the rest of his existence.
This wasn’t fair. He never made a deal. He’d never even spoken to the fae. Not even once.
But he knew it was too late.
Somehow, without even speaking a single word, Wilbur had sealed his own fate.

After finding a magical diary in the woods, Wilbur accidentally entangles himself into a deal with the fae. The deal involves him becoming a part of their family.
And while he lives in denial about it at first, Wilbur slowly accepts his fate and realizes things aren’t as bad as he thought they were. Hurt/Comfort and found family quickly follow.

After walking into Cyber's lab at the wrong time, Nightmare is thrown into the Dream SMP. Specifically, Tommy's exile. Nightmare is appalled by Tommy's life story and determined to give Tommy back the last of his childhood. Tommy likes Nightmare but isn't sure he's ready to leave his dimension, no matter how great the other world sounds.
Unfortunately for Tommy, Cyberknife loves his husband and has very little empathy for anyone that is not Nightmare. Turns out going from Fantasy to Sci-fi is a lot harder than Sci-fi to Fantasy, and Cyber has more than a few skeletons in his closet not even Nightmare knows about.
Or: Nightmare, the nice and slightly himbo version of Dream, gets portaled to DSMP, meets Tommy, has a "unfortunately, I love him" moment. And Cyberknife loves his husband enough to tolerate an adopted son. Even if that new son is far too snoopy.
