Turning a corner she started, there wasn’t anyone around but a clearing and a large working neon sign. The words Goodneighbor clear as day in the dim light of the coming storm. Stunned she looked at it for a long time, lost in the moment and wondering if she was hallucinating. The German Shepherd at her side whined and stuck his nose on her elbow. Blinking she pushed forward, heeding only the dog’s motivation and clear wanting to get into the gates as it pranced back and forth between her caution and a door… an honest to god door next to the illuminated arrow. She stood at her full height in front of it. Shock on her features as she turned the knob and it wasn’t locked or seemingly rigged.

The neon flickers like it’s on life support, fighting the grime and decay that’s everywhere, while the laughter of the lost and the damned bounces off the walls like they’re all in on some sick joke. Snow feels it in his bones—this place is a disaster, but it’s a disaster that works. And then there’s Hancock. The ghoulish mayor’s got the same heart as his city: worn down, but still smirking. The man cuts through the grime like a razor blade, and for some stupid reason, Snow finds himself leaning in. Maybe Goodneighbor fits him just fine

In his mind Deacon had this big grand scheme when the time came to revel himself to the famous vault dweller. There would be dramatic music, a quick wardrobe change, and a huge gasp from the vault dweller as he was amazed at Deacon's spying abilities. What he was not expecting was to be found out, or that his knees would buckle and he would stop breathing just at the mere sight of the dweller's green eyes. Now all Deacon has to do is get out the situation with his dignity in tact.
