Summary
Wels was not being nearly as productive as he wanted to be, and for once it wasn’t Hels’ fault. He’d barely done anything today, but his bones still felt heavy. His thoughts were slow and confused, and it was hard to keep a train of thought for more than a few seconds. He didn’t know what was wrong with him, but whatever it was was really annoying. He had stuff to do for goodness’ sake! He couldn’t keep putting things off because he was ‘tired’ or ‘didn’t feel right,’ where was the discipline in that? His old legion would be ashamed of him… Before he could get too far into that line of thought, he was distracted by his comm pinging. He’d assumed it was a mainchat, but was shocked when he saw it was a direct message.
Hels: Could you go get Xisuma? He’s exhausted and not feeling great, Ex has been out of commission for over a day now
Wels: Yeah, I’ve got it. Let me know if you need anything!
He groaned and fixed his attention on the door. At least this was sort-of productive, since he’d be doing something other than sitting on the couch.

It started with a slip-up. One tiny, miniscule mistake that threw everything into chaos. Xisuma had just been having a normal workday, when he'd dropped a small glass pane containing a sealing sigil. It hadn't shattered, and when he examined it he didn't see any cracks, so he'd continued on with the procedure as usual. Which somehow led to him, a few hours later, running from several things he could only describe as hell wolves. He couldn't find any of his coworkers. Every station he'd checked, there had been nothing alive but the wolves. It — It was fine though. While he'd rather have someone — Cleo, gods did he want to see Cleo — to help him, he was more than capable of handling this. He had everything under control.
Just at that moment, he rounded a corner and found himself face-to-face with another wolf. He screamed and wheeled around, somehow managing a quick escape as the newcomer lunged at him. Yes, yes — Perfectly under control, this was all perfectly controlled —

Summary
He was busy thinking about baking when someone rushed up and grabed him from behind. He screamed, flailing for a moment, before remembering himself and flaring out with his magic. This both sent his attacker flying, and threw their arm straight into his windpipe.
Keralis collapsed, fighting for breath as he forced himself up, stumbling back from where a human in all black had fallen. He saw them sit up and immediately grab a comm, and staggered into a sprint, heading for the portal home. He was less than 4 chunks away, he could get there — Someone jumped out of an alley and rammed into him, knocking him over. Keralis’ head slammed into the ground, and everything went blurry.

Summary
Wels knew going through the forest near his old village had been a bad idea. X had told him so, as had Grian, and especially Hypno, who knew the way the villagers treated outsiders or those who had wronged them, but that never stopped him from dashing through the forest in order to get to Joel’s store. He’d convinced himself that the risk was minimal, and the reward great- he really hated having to hike his way through the pass, which was his only other option to get there- however it seemed he’d made a minor mistake in his calculations, and now here he was, being dragged into the town square by three knights whose names Wels had completely forgotten. Internally, he groaned. Today was a terrible day to not wear armour- not that it would’ve changed anything. He was completely outnumbered, and unlike mercenaries, knights usually worked as a team, so there was no chance he could’ve fought them and won. They wrestled him out of his shirt before hauling him to the center of the square.
There was already a crowd beginning to gather around him, and someone behind Wels cleared their throat to address them.

Hels was waiting in the entry cave, a sneer growing on his face when he noticed Wels. …seriously? Hels was here? What had Wels done to deserve this?!
“So, this is where you went.” Hels snarled. “It figures someone as spoiled as you wouldn’t live long on your own, you just had to get someone else to take care of you.”
As always, Hels didn’t have any clue what was going on. Ugh, Wels didn’t have the capacity for this today…
“Oh, like you didn’t do the same after you left your legion. You’re just as useless as you think I am.”

The thing is, Tim wasn’t himself when he was looking for Bruce. In his grief, Tim was Red Robin, and Red Robin was built for solitude. Red Robin crossed lines that Tim Drake wouldn’t even tiptoe on. He was detached and gray and everything Tim had tried not to be as Robin. But now that Bruce is back, and Damian is Robin, and nobody really knows what he’s done- Red Robin is all he has left. And Red Robin was built for solitude.
There’s something wrong with Tim. The Tim Jason knew was poised, snarky, arrogant. A stubborn-as-shit asshole. And, of course, so loyal and committed to the Bat-legacy that Jason wasn’t really sure if the kid had any hobbies outside the suit. This new Tim, this Red Robin, is someone else entirely. Someone who’s one reckless crusade away from getting himself killed.
And Jason has a few things to say about dead Robins, Red or not.
Or: After Bruce returns from the time stream, Tim Drake keeps the mantle of Red Robin and throws himself into international cases to avoid going home. Jason runs into him, gets a bad feeling, and follows him to the ends of the earth (literally).

"Who. The fuck. Else. Is going to." He gritted, glaring across at him. Dick went quiet, and the basement's darkness seemed to flatten the air around them as they stood in each other's company, slightly awkward.
Dick swallowed, making an aborted gesture over at him. "So what are you a ghostbuster or something?"
"Oh my god," Jason groaned to himself, instantly turning and walking over to the hole leading out, preparing his grapple so he could leave. He did not have time for this.

Having use of the All-Blades means Jason's pretty used to being the most qualified person in Gotham to deal with supernatural issues. Why Dick's randomly started trying to help he has no fucking clue.
