The United Nations Joint Space Program is burning through money (and people, but more importantly money) and is loosing support from the taxpayers propping up the program that seemingly only benefits the Ultra Rich.
So they send playboy pop star Evan 'Buck' Buckley into space on a space tour to whip up support for continuing the program.
Sergeant Major Tommy Kinard has been banished to the Space Clipper, the Endeavour, in the outer flung corners of the program, where he is desperately trying to combat misinformation and get medical support for six sick soldiers when he gets lumbered with looking after a popstar.
But what happens when the popstar is kidnapped by the dangerous pirate Commander, Doug Kendall? and who else has Doug kidnapped?

The root of their tree was nothing but toxic, scrapping at the bark, begging to be let out. Maddie, Maxine and Evan suffocated for years, those seeds seeping into every crescent that London had to offer. They didn't have lives, not really. Everything was tainted by everything that came before them.

But you were still rude, and defensive, and repulsed by the fact that I wanted to talk to Bobby again.” It took everything in Buck to not apologize for lashing out. For raising his voice. He hated it, but if he didn’t no one would take what he was saying seriously.
Or Buck has OCD and tries to cope with Bobby's death. Little does he know the government has a secret worth dying for....

Buck could ring her hands over and over. it was bad enough that she got blown up by a fire truck. It was bad enough she'd spent 5 months under lock and key. She really does not need to be dealing with all this bullshit, whatever god looks after humanity is cruel.
At least now she has somebody to lean on, at least now Eddie knows the truth and she'll be back on the team soon enough.
TLDR: this is a female buck fic if she was supergirl, just trust the process.

“Captain Nash?” the paramedic to his left says, sounding like maybe it’s not the first time.
He turns his head towards her slowly.
“What’s your blood type?”
That’s the thing with being in an ambulance that wasn’t his team, they didn’t know him and they didn’t have his file on hand.
“O-null,” he says, slurring slightly.
The paramedic tilts her head. “O-negative?”
Bobby shakes his head.
“O-null,” he says again, starting to get a little frustrated. He didn’t think his words were that incomprehensible.
He didn’t like the way the two paramedics in the back looked at each other.
Didn’t like the way his brain was really truly processing what having O-null blood meant.
“Shit,” he heard one of the paramedics say.
Shit. He thought.
(Or Bobby has rare blood and everyone forgot what that meant, until he needed some. Buck doesn't know what blood type he is, but he's holding out hope.)
