Light, an eighteen year old high schooler with undiagnosed OCD and his whole life ahead of him, doesn't know of a reality in which he doesn't suffer. He only knows all the ways this one might kill him in varyingly gruesome scenarios. He sooths the cracks in his hands with aloe vera moisturizer and the cracks in his mind with constant meaningless distractions, a host of worthless rituals. He would wear disposable gloves, but he doesn't want to look like a freak.
A bored and disturbed detective finds this interesting enough to steal Light from his life, and show him what real fear feels like.

Summary
I haven't consumed anything cannon in batman since like 2014 so all I know about most things and about Damian, Cass, and Duke are from TikTok edits and fics that I have read. Damian, Cass, and Duke might be a bit ooc sorry about that.
In this series Jason never slits Tim's throat at the tower as Tim was able to get through to him and got off with only a mild beating and a couple shallow stab wounds. Damian never tried to Kill Tim just not too thrilled about his existence, but they did get into a few physical fights. Tim isn't/wasn't CEO of Wayne enterprise he only works with Bruce. Duke lives in the manor. Cass lives in the manor most of the time, she leaves for Hong Kong for a week or two every now and then. I am more of a TimKon shipper but I have chosen Bernard to be Tim's boyfriend because he has grown on me. Dick and Barbara are together as well. Also I 100% subscribe to bad parents abusive/neglectful Jack and Janet Drake. Bruce definitely calls his kids sweetheart and you can pry that headcanon from my cold dead hands.

It wasn’t like Evan “Buck” Buckley didn’t like talking about his time at highschool, there was just a lot to get into and therefore better just left alone. As soon as he mentioned one thing, he’d have to talk about other things to explain the first - and soon enough he’d have to tell the entire story. Considering the story contained a lot of hurt people and not fun times, he’d prefer to avoid it entirely.
So Buck almost never talks about his time at boarding school in Japan. In fact, if he had to take a guess he would bet his life saving’s that no one in the 118’s extended family even knew he’d been to Japan in the first place - Maddie excluded. That is, until he got drunk.
