Bobby's annoyance dips, and he nods, expression oddly blank. "It's really happening."
Buck looks out toward the distant storm, and it's closer now- too close.
There's no outrunning this thing- not anymore.buck does the unthinkable; bobby makes sure he's there to catch him.

After the lightning strike, Buck wakes up from his coma with a condition called Foreign Accent Syndrome. According to everyone else, it's nothing but a funny side effect, but Eddie is struggling to deal with a Buck who doesn't sound like Buck.
Eddie is forced to confront long hidden desires -- he just hopes he can hide them from the one person who absolutely cannot find out.

Objectively… realistically he knows what it’s about.
This wasn’t a run of the mill near death situation like getting buried under mud or getting rebar through your skull. It was an actual deathHe died.
That’s actually something that can happen.
After all the near deaths they’ve had, after all the almosts and the mights, the tsunamis and the snipers, it happened. And it happened to him.He died, and he doesn’t know where to start to process it.
Or: Buck loses sight of himself - Dr. Copeland suggests that he finds hobbies that can occupy his mind. He picks up yoga again, he goes to the zoo with Chris, and he reconnects with a part of himself that he'd left behind. With Oliplayshere making a comeback, Buck starts to heal.

And everything else is slowly going quiet. He doesn't know why. Rain is hitting his face. He hates it. It tastes salty. He hates salt, it's bitter. It's gross. Where is everyone? Everything is silent up until he hears his boyfriend. His boyfriend, yet he has a panicked voice.
