The pairing’s not my first pick but this piece was at the top of the page.
Oh My God. I was Not Disappointed.
The writing is just gorgeously paced and nothing is wasted. You could feel the gradual change of dynamics as the story went on and its not easy to do that this well. The story is never boring. There’s no unnecessarily boring build up, it all flows into each other. Perfect, perfect story. Once picked up, couldn’t put it down.

The simulations they'd run had been quite descriptive of the potential damage such a disaster could cause, particularly if said disaster managed to connect with the border world. At the time, the likelihood had been deemed minimal, and the worst-case projections viewed as all but impossible.
No one could have predicted that such a disaster would not be limited in connections to Xen. Nor could they have predicted just how far-reaching the consequences of their actions would be.

When a large sum of money goes missing from Jack's personal account—putting a huge bump in his top secret plan—he forces Rhys, Vaughn, and Vasquez with him to go retrieve the money from a location tracked to Pandora. The universe is falling apart. The only way to save it is to have Rhys go back in time and stop Handsome Jack from opening the vault (by violently murdering him on Helios), but can Rhys actually kill him in time?
AKA: Both you and I have read the PA Rhys fics and the Atlas CEO Rhys fics, but what if I want a story that has both? AND sort of follows canon at the same time? Well now we have it.
