    “I missed you too, A-Ying,” Lan Wangji responded in kind, his broad hand was placed on the small of his back and made Wei Wuxian feel protected and small. Would you still miss me if you knew what I was doing behind your back? Wei Wuxian worried the soft inside of his mouth with his teeth.

    “I brought dinner,” Lan Wangji nudged Wei Wuxian away from his neck, softening the blow by holding his hand. “Let’s eat?”

    “Mn,” Wei Wuxian ignored the worry climbing up his throat like a vine, threatening to suffocate him. “Let’s.”

    "Lan Zhan…" Wei Wuxian lets out a sob then, clutching the back of Lan Wangji's robes in fistfuls. The long fingers brushing through his hair makes him feel exposed, ragged and raw like a fingernail bitten to the quick. "I'm such a crybaby now. Stop making me feel things."

    "You are not. It is completely normal to cry," Lan Wangji rubs his back. "Cry as much as you want. I will be here."

    Wei Wuxian sniffs, and leans into Lan Wangji's comforting touch.

    "I guess this is my cue to leave. Let me know your decision when you're ready, A-Xian."

    OR - The fic in which Lan Qiren is deceptive and Wei Wuxian has to make a tough choice that goes against everything he has been taught.
