[NEW WRITER TAKING OVER]After the positive reception to my other post, I felt strangely motivated to make more. I am really new to writing so please keep that in mind when you make your requests because it WILL be something that I have never written before, but I am extremely open minded, so don't let that discourage you from wanting to request. I love being able to write out others' ideas for them and that is solely what this book is for (as well as some of my personal writings being sprinkled throughout if I feel like it or have time for it).

He doesn't think much of it, that is, until he has a nightmare. Until he remembers his Mom is alone at home.
Or: Cesar Torres meets an Alternate that night, but it doesn't end as it should; Cesar wakes back up, and he's no longer human.

Without warning, he pulled Mark close, his arms locking around Mark’s waist. The suddenness of it sent a cold spike of alarm through Mark. He tensed, breath hitching.
They had never touched like this in public. Not like this. Cesar froze when Mark stepped back, his hands lingering mid-air. “I didn’t mean to scare you,” he said, his voice low and slow. “You know I’d never hurt you.” Mark nodded, heart pounding. “I know. I just—” The words caught in his throat. He couldn’t explain it. Couldn’t explain the cold, crawling discomfort under his skin.
“We’re in public,” he added softly.
“Let them watch,” Cesar said, tilting his head. “Why should it matter?” The café suddenly felt too warm, too crowded. Mark glanced around. No one was watching them, but still, he felt exposed. Cesar’s smile returned, softer this time. “Sorry. I got carried away.”

Mark is overcome with relief and confusion when his boyfriend, Cesar, unexpectedly returns after being missing for six days. Initially, Mark is overwhelmed with emotion, but he quickly senses something is off—

Thatcher Davis and Ruth Weaver are out to find Alternates. A new rule has been passed, stating that no police officer should associate with helping and/or protecting citizens from Alternates.
Now they're on probation, and have decided the rule doesn't apply. -
