Tubbo nodded, a grin spreading across his face. “I drink the potion.”
“Right.” Techno raised his eyebrows at him. “You drink the mysterious potion that was stored next to the ritual dagger and the blackmail material.”
“Yeah,” Tubbo said, eating another handful of chips.
“Tubbo—” Captain Sparklez started from the other side of the table.
“Constitution saving throw.”

“Ah, missed that,” Jaiden told her friend. She pushed herself upright and started down the twisting passageway again, hand on the wall for balance. “I was just going to sleep on the floor. It’s flat. Seemed fine.”

Techno hadn’t seen a lot of Phil since he moved to the server. He’d built his new home in New L’manberg, and he was always busy with some kind of rebuilding project, but it seemed like lately when he happened to be close enough to town to catch details, Phil was out and about less and less. Today it was almost one in the afternoon, and he hadn’t seen any sign of him. Techno squinted at Phil’s house from where he was safely tucked below a tree. Was he mistaken, or was there no smoke coming from Phil’s chimney, either?
It was early December, and ice patterns were forming in the corners of the lake. He was going to check on that. Techno pulled the hood of his cloak deniably higher and headed for Phil’s house.

There was something about the woman who came into the room which was putting Techno’s back up, but he couldn’t quite identity the danger that was making him bristle. Well, aside from the fact that she was a vampire holding him and Phil prisoner. He’d identified that one pretty quick.
Her heels clicked against stone as she walked into the middle of the cellblock and smiled, the expression showing off pointed fangs. “I’m going to need one of you to come with me,” she said, then tapped a gloved finger against her chin as she scanned between the cells. “Hmmmm.”
A meal was the most likely reason. “I’ll do it,” Techno said immediately, at the same time as Phil said “Pick me.”
