    Summary

Elrond and Elros were the stars Eärendil and Elwing bore in Sirion. Little did few know of another, younger star they bore as well.

    or...

Elrond and Elros are not the only children of Eärendil taken from Sirion after the Third Kinslaying, and neither Maedhros nor Maglor are prepared for the spitfire four year old peredhel anymore than they are prepared for the twins. It makes it easier, to see them against the memory of the twins who'd died due to their sacking Doriath, just a bit.

    Summary

    A love story in hell.

"Faelivrin," he whispered, staring into those brown eyes, willing her to understand this deception was as close to mercy as he could offer. "She is Princess Faelivrin."

Two elves from Nargothrond, neither important enough to be mentioned in the family trees of kings or heroic songs, who lost their names in Angband's slavery. The childhood companion of Finduilas Faelivrin must take the princess's identity to survive in the enemy's hands. Another prisoner, regretting he did not join Beren’s quest, tries his best to save her.

    or

The later half of The Silmarillion from the POV of prisoners in Angband, as inspired by A Dance with Dragons.

    Summary

"Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic", Arda edition. Just slightly off-canon, assuming that canon is mostly Elven-written: with rockets to the Void, prosthetics and wheelchairs, mechanical dragons, surgery canonized as shape-shifting, nuclear energy of the Silima...

(The stories do not need to be read in order, though And the Void Will Be Ours is a sort of introduction/summary).

    Summary

This gen version of my Desperate Hours series is marked gen because it has no corporal punishment elements in it. The series is Faramir-centric, in an AU where Faramir is secretly the illegitimate son of Aragorn. In the course of writing the first main story about Faramir and Aragorn beginning to work together before they knew about this relationship (Beginnings &Endings), I rather got derailed into developing a bunch of other characters, which is where most of the stories come from. Below in the notes I have listed the major distinctions from, and certain elaborations on, the canon of Tolkien's Legendarium, for purposes of this AU, which I am calling the Desperate Hours alternate universe, Gen version (DH AU G).

The problem with Morgoth is that Finarfin could not simply go up to him and say: I am a son of Finwe. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

Or: Finarfin went to war. Now, he had to return from it.

    Summary

After Maedhros' demise, Maglor turns himself into Eonwë. The Valar must decide what to do with him. Some say Maglor deserves death for his crimes. Some implore the others for mercy, claiming how the Oath and loyalty to his father drove him. In the end, the Valar reach a compromise and declare a test: Feanor will be asked what is most beloved to his heart—his decision will decide Maglor's fate.

This is the story of that choice.

    Summary

Because I, as a woman, still find it such a shame that Professor Tolkien focused so much on the men of his stories—even resulting in nameless wives (*I'm looking at you, Káno, Kurvo, Thranduil, Moryo, and those whose names I don't know*)—I thought it'd be nice to write some stories from a feminine perspective. Of course, I don't own the Silmarillion or the Hobbit or the Lord of the Rings, and I am too busy with my studies and my job to rewrite all of it (because I would, if I could, rewrite it from a female perspective), but I can at least offer short stories of my own make. Naturally, all characters and settings belong to Tolkien—except my OC's. The unnamed wives I've only given a name and a story, but since some of their backstories' are somewhat known (such as Kurvo's wife being Ñoldorin) I've taken the liberty of using that and tweaking it. Ah well. Even if Tolkien were alive, he wouldn't be able to stop me (God rest his soul). C'est la vie.
