    His quirk was nothing like he had expected it to be. And it didn’t help that he had almost killed a classmate with it. Izuku swears it was an accident, but no one believed him. At least his mother would, he hoped. But she too didn’t believe him.

    ‘A villain’, 'A Killer', he was called, many a times. They said that even his soulmate would hate him. Or that maybe his soulmate was also a villain. But he had always, always wanted to be a hero. Could he become one, with a villainous quirk that almost killed someone when it appeared?

    Notes: Aizawa Shouta is 26 years old in the canon time-frame.
    This Midoriya Izuku is 21 years old.

    Chad was eager to meet his soulmate, even if the words that had been scrawled into his forearm always seemed a bit... well. Not soulmate-y. Regardless, he was eager to see what kind of person his soulmate would be -- until his family so kindly pointed out: those were words meant for a villain.

    Robert grew up in shame of his mark; the excitement to meet who he was always destined to meet was never really there for him, really, the cruel words inscribed on his stomach were always just a harsh reminder of his father's "tough it out" attitude toward him.

    Lavellan may have deciphered his mark, finally, but it seems as though his soulmate is pleased to pretend that he doesn't know of their connection. Because if Dorian knows some Elvish, then he must know how to read the mark on his wrist- but he hasn't said a thing to Lavellan, not even a hint.

    (But of course, soul-marks are also quite the irritable system for the marriages of convenience of the Tevinter elite.)
